Aurora
Aurora f
From Latin aurōra dawn, also used in the classical period as the name of the personified goddess of the dawn. It was not used as a given name in the postclassical or medieval period, but is a reinvention of the Renaissance, and has generally been bestowed as a learned equivalent of DAWN (SEE Dawn) by parents conscious of its etymology.
Derivative: French: Aurore.
