Omar Bradley [Omar Bradley]
(1893–1981) a US ↑general in ↑World War II. He led the Allied forces at Normandy on ↑D-Day in 1944 and into Germany. He then became the first Chairman of the ↑Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1949 to 1953. Bradley was named General of the Army in 1950. He won many medals including the ↑Presidential Medal of Freedom.
