Poly|isopren,
durch Polymerisation von Isopren entstehender makromolekularer Stoff. Polyisopren kommt in der Natur in der cis-Form im Kautschuk und in der trans-Form in Guttapercha und in Balata vor. Synthetisch hergestelltes Polyisopren findet als Synthesekautschuk Verwendung.
